Australia’s high performance manufacturer, Brabham Automotive, will be at the 2019 World Time Attack Challenge at Sydney Motorsport Park, Eastern Creek, on October 18-19.
Brabham Automotive will show and drive the amazing Brabham BT62 in full track setup.
At the BT62’s core is a carbon-chromoly safety cell wrapped in full carbonfibre bodywork. It features double-wishbone suspension, carbon/carbon brakes with ABS and traction control, and a 5.4 litre, naturally aspirated Brabham V8 engine. Weighing just 972kg (dry) and with 700hp available, the BT62 has been described by Top Gear UK as “the world’s most track focused hypercar”.
The BT62 beat the lap record at Bathurst in February 2019, eclipsing the existing closed-wheel lap record by over half a second. It also holds the lap record at Philip Island Circuit, and at the international standard Bend Motorsports Park in Tailem Bend, South Australia.
The BT62 will do exhibition laps at Eastern Creek in a display that will show plenty of its extraordinary capabilities.
When not on track, the BT62 will be on display at the Knight International show stand.
