Clubsprint Class- SKR Evo 9

When you are the president of the South Australian based GSR/Evo club you would expect to be driving a fast car and thanks to SKR, Tristan Catford certainly has that! Steve Knight Racetech has performed a well thought out make over on this Evo that is aiming for the pointy end of the Clubsprint class. Starting with a TMR club spec Evo 9 the engine has been setup to run on the much more power friendly ELF WRF race fuel . With a keen interest in tarmac rally the engine modifications are limited to comply with M2 rally spec but these engines still produce a reasonable figure in this specification. Where SKR and Tristan have focused their attention is to the vehicle dynamics and drive train to make sure that every single kilowatt is making it to the pavement.

Staring with a set of big dollar “Supaloc Supashock Racing” coil over’s developed by the Supaloc Lamborghini racing team the theme continues to the PPG dog engagement 6 speed gearbox and Ralliart diffs and numerous other chassis tweaks and so far this combination has proven extremely potent in local competition around the Adelaide districts and both Tristan and Steve are very keen to see how it stacks up at a national level. Some of Tristan’s achievements include winning the Mt Alma mile outright on accumulative time in 2010 and 2011, 3rd outright in the Mt Gambier hill climb in  2010, 6th Outright SA Time attack series and winning the Auto sport AWD turbo challenge in 2010.
