A few years back, a young man by the name of Curt Whittaker was making some noise on the D1NZ scene with an A31 cefiro and some considerable driving talent honed by years as a top level kart racer, He then he sort of disappeared and all went quiet as the old Cef was retired and a new purpose built slider began to take shape.

Fast forward to 2011, and the name “WHITTAKER!!!!!!!” is what everyone has been seeing and hearing around the tracks of New Zealand
With a ground up purpose built weapon by Rolling Addiction Fabrication, and what is undoubtedly the loudest support crew on the D1 circuit, Taranaki’s Curt Whittaker went within 25 points of taking out this years Drift King title.

The Sonar Tyres R34 is known for being super reliable, with the 2JZ power plant smashing out a lazy 380kw to the 11″ wide rear wheels. Curt has a new gearbox on board for the Australian trip and will be looking to continue his solid form that has seen a good amount of number 1 qualifying performances this season.

The Whittaker/ WSR/ Sonar Tyres R34 was a massive force in New Zealand drifting this year, and it is with great pleasure we announce that Curt will be making his offshore debut at the Tectaloy Drift Challenge.
