We can proudly announce that the Cyber Evo will be returning to Eastern Creek in August to defend its World Time Attack Champion title.
The car has largely been retired since winning World Time Attack Challenge 2010 but coming back to defend their title is something these guys would not miss out on.
“We will only be doing one event in 2011 and that is World Time Attack, we had such a fantastic experience last year” said Mr Takizawa the team principle. “And we believe if the driver “Tarzan” Yamada can get a perfect lap in we still have quite a bit up our sleeve. Even though we won the last event, the car cut out on one of the corners costing us valuable time.” We can only imagine what they are aiming for!
Last year these guys beat the longstanding V8 supercar record and it would appear they now want the outright sedan record and the amazing part is they are doing it on road legal tyres NOT racing slicks!
The team has also mentioned they will be upgrading the engine for more horsepower and obviously putting some work into strengthening the rear wing assembly after losing it at Eastern Creek in the final session. This is fantastic news for Time Attack fans who want to see the Cyber Evo again – and there is only one place to see it – Eastern Creek on the 5th and 6th August!
