The man they refer to as the “Australian Godfather of Drift ,” Danny “Denzo” Vahoumis has confirmed entry into the Tectaloy International Drift Challenge. Always the showman and with the fluorescent yellow S15 Silvia now sporting a big horsepower E85 dry sump RB 25/30 you can be sure he will not disappoint in any way.
Denzo was one of the original founders of the sport of drift in Australia and has been actively involved since the late nineties and will be bringing over a contingent of the best drifters from the west coast with him to battle it out with the best in Australia and some top internationals.
Included in this contingent will be James “Jimmah” Eames in the second JPC entry a red hot race prepped 350Z and young “femme” hotshot Carla Fry in a 600 plus horsepower supercharged Mustang that is bound to throw a cat amongst the pigeons.
There is no question we will have the best drift line up ever seen in Australia after the sun sets at Eastern Creek on August 5th and 6th and Denzo has always been a huge part of the drift scene in Australia so it is fantastic that he will be making the trip over as he and James Eames did last year.
Carla Fry is also someone who should not be underestimated and has been extremely competitive in the local Perth drift scene and it is awesome to see some “girlpower” getting back into the sport!
