News Fanga Dan returns with the Juice!

One of the D1NZ originals, Daniel ” Fanga Dan” Woolhouse is returning to Eastern Creek this year as part of Team NZ to battle for the title at the 2012 Tectaloy International Drift Challenge.  Fanga will be bringing his Holden Commodore back to wage war on the field and is determined to avenge what he felt was a below standard performance in last year’s competition. Fanga was pleased to confirm that he would again be teaming up with Juice Polishes for the occasion.

“I was a bit disappointed last year, long way to come to go out in the top 16, but this year I’ve got Juice on board and I’m feeling real good after our D1NZ season so I’m going to show everyone what I can really do… you guys know rubbing is racing right?”

After a strong season in New Zealand competition which saw him finish in 3rd place overall, Fanga and his Northland based team have pulled the reliable warhorse apart in search of a little more speed in anticipation of the Japanese presence at the event.

“With the announcement of Team Orange heading over, and so far from what I’ve seen the Aussies are stepping it up as well, it looks like the competition is going to be fierce! I’m really looking forward to coming back to Sydney!”

With the LS2 power plant currently in pieces, the team are looking at cam options to increase on the current power output, while a fresh gearbox is on order to replace the three season old item. The Tein experts at Raceline will recondition his shocks again and a diff ratio based on last years data will be selected. Fanga’s car is relatively simple compared to many others, and there in lies its charm.

Woolhouse is one of those drivers who you would never ever count out in competition, and seems to almost get better as the seasons go by. Come the end of Saturday night, if there is a guy you want going in to war for you, for the Kiwis, that is probably going to be ‘Fanga Dan’ Woolhouse.
