While we were downloading photos in the Media room here at WTAC 2011, we could hear a panic from the pits. Turns out the HKS/GT Autogarage GT-R had caught fire, while the Eastern Creek safety team responded with extinguishers.
Apparently the fire was caused by oil getting on the manifold. But worry not, it looks like they will be back on the track for the next session.
