We are proud to announce the highly anticipated PlayStation 4 exclusive Gran Turismo Sport will be our presenting partner at World Time Attack Challenge Sydney 2017.
Gran Turismo Sport redefines the critically acclaimed series, forging a new standard for the racing genre with over 150 of the world’s most highly coveted cars in automotive culture, digitally recreated in remarkable detail. Drivers will witness stunning detail in 4K and HDR on PlayStation 4 Pro, as well as strapping in behind the virtual wheel on PlayStation VR.
With multiple class divisions, gamers of all skill levels will now also compete for a chance to become legends in the world’s first and only online championship certified by the FIA (Federation Internationale de l’Automobile).
Gran Turismo Sport features more than 158 of some of the most highly coveted cars in automotive culture, from Vision GT concept vehicles to GT Sport prototypes racing through 40 different layouts’ across 19 locations from around the world. These include the ever-popular Nurburgring, the legendary Tokyo Expressway, and the recently-added half mile Northern Isle Speedway.
In addition to this iconic brand becoming our presenting sponsor on our worldwide livestream, you will be able to test out Gran Turismo Sport at the event ahead of launch on 18 October, with multiple driving simulators and an exciting virtual reality experience.
There will also be a shootout on the simulators between several of the big name pro drivers, as well as a competition for spectators to take home their very own limited edition Gran Turismo Sport themed PlayStation 4.
To further celebrate the 20-year milestone we will be hosting a “Gran Turismo Through the Ages” parade lap on both Friday and Saturday, that will feature a selection of cars from Gran Turismo (1997) right through to the all-new Gran Turismo Sport (2017).
