We have made a replica of the infamous Taisan Group A car that Keiichi Tsuchiya actually drove in the 1991-1993 All Japan Touring Car Championship (Group A). And we are giving two lucky ticket punters the experience of a lifetime by riding shotgun with the Drift King himself!
“The Taisan GTR is one of the most iconic GTRs of all time” said Superlap CEO Ian Baker “And with Keiichi coming back down again we thought it would be damn cool to recreate a part of history in the closest way possible. With the one of the original cars currently on the market for a seven figure price tag and the other firmly in the Nismo museum in Japan, we decided to build a replica”
“Once we had the concept we set about recreating this legendary vehicle” said Baker “We basically recreated it from a scale model and it’s based on the 1993 livery that was driven by Tsuchiya and Takahashi. It’s perhaps the most famous of the car’s many liveries. The car was a labour of love by James Breaden of Motographics and really needs to be seen in person to be appreciated”
In case you were wondering, this isn’t just a hotted up street car with some stickers, this is a fully built and caged race car with a Japanese built Autech engine that produces over 600hp! (50hp more than the Taisan Group A car!)
As well as a hot lap with Keiichi the two lucky winners will also receive a 1 :43 scale model of the Taisan GTR in the exact livery that Keiichi will autograph along with a signed ‘Dorikin’ rego plate we made for this vehicle that will also be autographed. We will also ensure you have an ample photo opportunity with the car and Keiichi.

A big thanks to Steve Thatcher from Just Jap for the loan of the vehicle, James Breaden from Motographics for the perfect wrap job, Aaron from Import Monster for the wheels, Kyle Major from Hi Octane Racing for the labour and most importantly Keiichi Tsuchiya for making the long trip down under to put a smile on everyone’s face!
