MEDIA PASS COLLECTION
Media Passes will be available for collection at the Accrediation Office from 8.00am on Friday. You must provide a photo ID with your name matching that on your Media Application Form in order to collect your Media Pass. Your Media Pass is valid for both days.
Due to a high number of passes getting lost in the mail, we will not be mailing Media Passes out this year.
MEDIA BRIEFING
The Media Briefing will be held at 10.15am on Friday 10th in the Media Room (Suite 1). Attendance is compulsory. Media Vests will be handed out after the Media Briefing. Once you have your Media Vest, your pass and your wristband, you can enter the restricted track area.
PARKING
Media Parking will be at the Figure 8. There are no reserved parking spots so get in early. See the Eastern Creek Map.
TRACK RULES
1. Never, under any circumstances are you to enter the actual race track.
2. Keep a concrete barrier between you and the track at all times.
3. No sitting on, standing on, leaning over the concrete wall. Your entire body must be BEHIND the concrete barrier.
4. Listen to and adhere to any instructions given to you by the Track Marshalls.
5. Wear your Media Pass, Vest and Wrist Band at all times.
6. Respect all No Go zones as explained to you at the Media Briefing.
Failure to observe any of the above will result in your immediate removal from the event.
PIT LANE SAFETY RULES
While as a Media Representative you have a full access to the Pit Lane, your actions must not, in any way, obstruct the cars exiting or entering garages.
This means no standing in front of the cars as they’re leaving the garage or standing in the garage entry as cars are pulling in. This applies to both photographers and video crews.
These are common sense rules that ensure your safety and help us run the event smoothly.
MEDIA ROOM RULES
The Media Room facilities are available for your usage.
Use common sense and remember that you are sharing these facilities with other media personnel.
Don’t leave your gear unattended.
PRACTICE DAY
A number competitors (including most internationals) will be attending a practice day on Thursday 9th.
Media will have access to the pit zone, however track access will be restricted due to another event taking place at the same time.
You do not need to have a special media pass for Thursday, however you do need to notify us in advance if you want to attend. Notify greg@superlap.com.au
