To the unsuspecting passerby this may just look like any other clean gunmetal R32 GTR but underneath the skin there beats a far more sinister heart. Probably the only hint of something is the dinner plate sized Project Mu brakes that reside behind the Japanese Volk racing wheels but the reality is that this car is absolutely packed full of the best Japanese tuning produce available.
Built by Queensland based HKS Pro tuning shop GT Auto Garage for owner/driver Banu Mertono, it really is a showcase of what the company can do for their customers; It starts with a HKS stroker 2.8 litre engine with HKS camshafts and valve train package and HKS 25/30 Kai turbochargers that provide not only plenty of power but also optimum response needed for time attack racing.
The whole deal is kept in tune with a HKS F CON VPro ECU and the HKS theme continues to the intercooler, oil coolers and Hipermax 3 Supersport Suspension. The transmission is a big dollar OS Giken OS88 Sequential six speed and the diffs are by Nismo . And speaking of big dollar items, those brakes you see peeking through are Project Mu billet 6 pistons on the front and 4 pistons on the rear.
The suspension arms are Ikeya Formula and the tyres are Hankook Ventus Z221 rounding out quite a formidable package. “The car will also have a fair bit more aero by the time it hits the track” said David from GT Autogarage “we have a Top Secret rear diffuser, and AB Flug front splitter to go on and while Andrew Brilliant was out from the USA doing the aero on our Pro Car we had him design a wing that will also go on. This wing will also be available commercially through GT Autogarage”
