The caliber of the field in every class this year has certainly exceeded our expectations. We were surprised at the quality of the builds that have taken place behind closed doors since World Time Attack 2010.This Evo 7RS from a Melbourne tuning house – RevZone, is a perfect example of this.
Along with many of the other top 2011 builds, this car looks like it belongs in the Pro Class! And this impression does not extend looks alone – it definitely has the hardware underneath to back it up!
Starting with a nice, clean Evo 7 RS, the RevZone team got to work on one of their custom-built, 2.2 litre stroker engines with a big HKS turbocharger kit strapped onto the side. On the other side is an American AMS inlet plenum and a baffled sump. HKS get the nod for the intercooler and oil cooler while an OS Giken twin plate clutch sends the power back to a trio of limited slip diffs (the centre diff is LSD!). The whole lot is kept in tune with an optioned up M800 Motec ECU.
The “no compromise” theme continues to the suspension where a set of top shelf Japanese Aragosta coil overs occupy each corner. A set of equally serious mono block Brembo brakes sit behind Rays TE37 or Advan RG wheels (they have a set of each) wrapped in Bridgestone RE55 tyres.
A TMR roll cage stiffens the chassis and keeps the driver George Whenn safe and sound should anything turn pear-shaped. Rounding out this whole package is a complete aero kit from the Japanese masters of aerodynamics – Voltex Racing. The whole car is painted in “Time Attack White” with some sponsor logos.
Looking at the pictures we have to admit this car would not look out of place driving out onto the Tsukuba circuit!

They now occupy one of the largest workshop spaces in Ringwood, Victoria with in-house engine building room, Dynapack 4WD dyno, fabrication facilities, 4 hoists with 25 onsite parking spaces.
