The Turbo Legends display has long been a popular part of the World Time Attack Challenge with both spectators and competitors alike. We always knew that fans would love to see the legendary cars they may have only read about on the internet or in magazines and would love to see them in full flight, on the racetrack.

Every year we gather a whole bunch of legendary race cars from the 70s, 80s and 90s and bring them to WTAC to showcase them to our fans. During the lunch break we send them out for a few hot laps so the spectators can experience these wonders of a bygone era at full noise.

What started as the Legends of the Turbo Era has now grown into a “Legends of all kinds” with many very famous naturally aspirated cars from the past joining the fold. With Motul taking up the GTR class for 2014 the naming spot for this class was open and Prep’d Motorpsort boss Lachlan Cook jumped at the chance.

“These historic cars make up a large slice of our business,” said Cook “We will still be running the Lotus in the Pro Class this year with Barton Mawer driving but I saw the synergy straight away for Prep’d to be involved in the legends display. This sector of the market is growing year upon year and this kind of stuff is great for everyone.”

As well as the many regulars that come every year, this year will see some new cars to the fold including:

Ex Colin Bond Group A Sierra RS500.

Ex Jim Richards JPS BMW M3.

RS1800 BDA Rally Escort.

Martini Lancia 037

Also scheduled to make an appearance is a genuine Martini Lancia 037. This car was scheduled to appear a couple of years back but withdrew at the last minute due to mechanical issues. The owner assures us it is all good and will be here 100% this year.

Add to it our usual runners that make the pilgramage out every year and you’ve got a pretty impressive line up at this year’s Pre’d Legends.

The Prep’d Legends will be on display in the dummy grid area over the Friday/ Saturday of WTAC and will be on track during the Midday Mayhem which takes place between 12pm – 2pm on Friday and Saturday.
