As we all know, the legendary Japanese Team Orange will be traveling to Australia to compete in the 2012 Tectaloy International Drift Challenge this August. They have now decided to surprise us with a special treat, they will be conducting their famous Team Orange Drift School at Eastern Creek Raceway for one day only on the Thursday of the week of World Time Attack Challenge. This will be the first time Team Orange has ever traveled to Australia.
Team Orange Drift School was established in Japan in 2001 at Ebisu and was known as “Dorigoya” which means “Home of Drifting”. Since 2005 the school has successfully been run World Wide in numerous countries including Japan, USA, UK, France, Italy, Poland, Russia, China, Thailand, UAE, Bahrain and South Africa.
With both instructors (Kumakubo and Suenaga) competing at the top level of competition in Japan (D1GP), their experience and expertise is second to none. Many students have traveled from all over the world to attend Team Orange Drift School at the Ebisu circuit and many drift enthusiasts dream of the chance to be taught be by arguably two of the best drifters in the world.
Earlier this year, Australia’s Jake ‘Drift Squid’ Jones traveled to Japan to team up with Team Orange at D1GP and was lucky enough to be schooled by the guys at Ebisu. “Without a doubt the biggest improvement to my drifting ever was the time I spent with Team Orange. You can practice for years by yourself but once you are shown the techniques developed by these masters it is a game changer for sure.”
“Probably the best investment you can ever make if you are really serious about drifting. You will learn more in an hour than you could anywhere else in a year!” Jake ‘Driftsquid’ Jones, Advan Pro Drifter
Team Orange will give 20 lucky students the chance to attend the Drift School, which will be held at Eastern Creek Raceway on Thursday the 9th of August.
