The two time Superlap Australia champion, Team Tilton Interiors has already confirmed entry for 2011 and you can be assured they will be packing much bigger punch than ever before.
Starting with a whole new Evo 9 bodyshell the team has pieced together a state of the art car that will be ready to take on the world’s best come August 2011. The car has been built using only the best components and features a 2.2 litre Cosworth based engine with an enormous T51R turbocharger kept spinning with a big dose of anti-lag, the latest V8 Supercar brake system, PPG gearbox and of course Garth Walden will be back behind the wheel with his eye on the top step of the podium.
The car was on display at Superlap 2010 in unfinished guise and drew a crowd of onlookers all weekend. The mechanicals of the car are finished and with the tuning done by Insight Motorsport the car is due to be loaded into a container and shipped to Japan for Voltex to fit a carbon aero kit and wind tunnel testing in late January at Mie university.The car should return around April leaving time for testing, bearing in mind this team already has a lot of data on hand already having run and won in Evos for years.
