With the World Time Attack Challenge only five weeks away, Turbosmart took their long-term project car to the Eastern Creek International Raceway to fine tune the suspension, brakes and address any problems that arise under race conditions.
“It’s a great opportunity to test the endurance of our products,” said Turbosmart’s CEO – Nic Cooper, “we’re using our fuel pressure regulators, wastegates, BOVs, boost controllers and silicone hoses on that car.”
The car will race against a field of late model EVOs, GT-Rs and WRXs in the competitive Open Class. Nic Cooper is confident the car has what it takes to keep up with the front-runners. “The car is deceptively quick. We still need to sort out the suspension and fine-tune it to the Eastern Creek track. It’s going to be a very busy five weeks for us.”
