The WTAC fever went up another notch with the Media Launch held at the Sydney Motorsport Park. The crowd grew quickly as the news of the launch spread through the social media attracting enthusiasts from the-lowdown.com and affiliated clubs.
Shutters were clicking as some of the best looking time attack cars in the world were wheeled into their garages in preparation for scrutineering. Among them the mighty Nemo Evo sporting a new war paint, the Esprit NSX, RE Amemiya RX7, Scorch Racing S15 along with the Pulse Racing and V-Sport Evos.
Not to be outdone, Mad Mike’s quad rotor RX7 and Tsutomu Fujio’s R34 represented the drift field.
Steve Glenney and Warren Luff were on hand to answer questions and even Inessa Tushkanova took some time off from her busy schedule to pose for photos.
The South Circuit paddock was filled with anticipation, speculation and excitement. Can Nemo defend its title? The challengers certainly look like they haven’t wasted any time during the off-season. Can the Aussie drifters finally triumph over the internationals? One thing is certain – this is shaping up to be one hell of an event!
