As the sun rises at Sydney Motorsport Park, a few keen competitors have been chomping at the bit to get some track time ahead of Thursday’s official practice. Here is a quick teaser of a few cars already putting down test laps with a promise of more competitors out on track as the day progresses.

The V-Sport team were out in force with their newly rebuilt Toyota FT86 with a brand new ex-Forsberg V8 engine providing power.

Croydon Racing Development also put in a few laps, shaking down the potent R34 in preparation for the main event on Friday and Saturday.

We spied the brand new livery on the Global Aircraft Services Evo. Keen spotters will recognise this as the ex-Nik Kalis Open Class car, now featuring Nathan Morcom behind the wheel. After taking the top spot in Open Class in 2016, this team will surely be one to keep an eye on. Watch this space for a more detailed feature on this car coming soon!

And of course who can forget the fan-favorite Under Suzuki who was out on track after some late night carbon fabrication in his pit garage. We can only gather that the new additions are working, because the Scorch Racing S15 looked FAST!

Watch this space for more features coming up on the teams testing at the track today.
