What’s the best place to book accommodation at?
Arguably the best place to stay while attending WTAC is the Alpha Hotel. It’s right next door to the track and literally a 5 minute walk from the entry gate. It does, however, get booked out early, and we’re told it’s already fully booked for this year’s event. A couple of kilometres further is the Atura Hotel.
There are plenty of other hotels, motels and rooms available in the surrounding suburbs, Blacktown, Mt Druitt, Rooty Hill or Parramatta that are reasonably priced and within a short distance to the track. The accommodation tends to get more expensive the closer to the Sydney CBD (further away from the track) you get. A good place to start is our own WTAC Accommodation Guide.
What if we want to hire a car?
Car hire is a great option, especially if you’re travelling with a group. It gets you to and from the track and allows you the flexibility of exploring Sydney without being dependent on the public transport.
What’s the advantage of pre-purchasing tickets online?
If you’re thinking of attending on more than one day (highly recommended) you will save a fair bit of money by purchasing a multi-day pass. Multi-day passes are only available online. Not only will you save money, you’ll also get onto the track quicker as the “pre-paid” line moves considerably faster than the general line where each spectator needs to buy a ticket.
Will the single day passes be available at the gate?
Yes, single day tickets will be sold at the gate each day.
Can I get into the garages with my General Entry ticket?
Entry to garages is restricted to accredited media and competitors. You will however be able to get up close and personal with all the race cars and their crews during the Pit Walk, held every day around midday. Check the event schedule for exact time.
Are there places where I’m NOT allowed to go?
The Pit Lane (trackside of the pit garages) is a restricted area. Only competitors and accredited media are allowed in the Pit Lane. Around the track you are not allowed to go past the fences dividing the spectator area from the track. The Grand Stand and the Pit Building Roof will be both open to the public.
Does my WTAC ticket include parking?
There is no extra parking charge at WTAC. Your general entry ticket will get you into one of the WTAC general parking areas. These parking areas are located within the Sydney Motorsport Park. Once you’ve passed the ticketing booths follow the directions of the WTAC officials, they will guide you to the closest parking area. If you would like to park close to where all the action is, in a secure area there will be a special VIP parking area which will attracts a small fee.

There is a limited parking available for the disabled. Just show your disability sticker to the security staff and they will guide you to your spot. There is also a lift that can get you to the roof of the Pit Building.

If you want to treat your sponsors or guests to something special or if you just want to enjoy the event in style from the comfort of an air-conditioned, catered suite overlooking the main straight we highly recommend you book one of our Hospitality Packages.
Is there a quick way to get to the Grand Stand from the Pit Zone?
There is an underground tunnel between the Pit Building and the Control tower that will safely take you under the main straight. Check the Track Maps that will be on display throughout the Pit Zone.
Will there be food and drinks available for purchase at the track?
There are food outlets placed throughout the Pit Zone and also on the skid pad area. There will also be food and drink outlets behind the Grand Stand. During the Drift we will have food and drink outlets on the drift hill so you will never need to walk far to get food or drink. The ARDC Cafe on the first floor of the Pit Building will also be open to all General Entry ticket holders.
Will there be ATMs onsite?
There will be two ATM machines onside for this year’s WTAC. The first one will be located in the ARDC Cafe (upstairs, pit garage building), the second one will be next to the WTAC Merchandise stand at the entry to the paddock. Additionally most of the food outlets will have an EFTPOS facility.
