In one of the biggest shake-ups in the history of the Yokohama World Time Attack Challenge’s 18-year history, there will be no drifting finals held on Saturday night. Instead, qualifying will run on Thursday night from 6:30pm, once the time attack cars fall silent.

Come 6:30pm Friday night the Top 16 will be run through two-car battles until only one driver stands tall. The quality of talent includes such heroes as Formula Drift USA legend Forrest Wang, Japan’s Tsubasa Nagasawa and Aussie heroes Matty Hill, Jordan Sanderson, Saxon Moyes, Jason Ferron, Adam Monck and Warwick Hill, plus others.

Once the dust settles on Friday night, don’t think the drifters will pack up and head for the nearest pub. We’ve got the wildest on-track afterparty planned for Saturday night with the Mayhem After Dark show taking control of the Sydney Motorsport Park track.

kThere will be drift demos from international guests, demo laps from historic rally cars, and plenty of pyrotechnics! Make sure you get your backside trackside for this epic spectacle as it’s sure to turn the entertainment dial to 11.

Tickets are available at the gate or online HERE so get down to Sydney Motorsport Park to be a part of it all. Otherwise, the Exedy Australia International Drifting Cup presented by Shockworks will have the drifting competition covered (but we will not be streaming the Mayhem After Dark show).
