Over the past decade, veteran motorsport commentator Greg Rust has ticked off major global bucket-list events like the Daytona 24 Hour, the Baja 1000, and Le Mans. However, calendar clashes have always kept him from the one event he’s been dying to experience: Sydney's very own Yokohama World Time Attack Challenge.

Today, we are thrilled to announce that 'Rusty' is officially joining the WTAC 2026 livestream presentation team, bringing his signature energy and elite storytelling to our global broadcast!
"We’ve been talking about this for years, but scheduling never lined up until now," says WTAC Event Director, Alain Sihaphone. "The stars have aligned for 2026, and we can’t wait to see his reaction when he's trackside this September at SMSP. It’s going to blow his mind."

"Rusty’s energy and gift for storytelling are unmatched," adds WTAC CEO Ian Baker. "Giving him a roving mic to unearth the incredible backstories in the paddock will be the perfect complement to our global coverage."
For Rust, the chance to experience WTAC in the flesh is a long-held ambition.
"I feel like I’ve had 'menu envy' for the past couple of years watching the stream and seeing all the cool stuff on socials," Rust says. "Now I get to experience it for real!"

"Luffy (Warren Luff) is a good mate, and guys like Alex Rullo, Mad Mike, Josh Buchan, and my Speed Series colleague Charlie Barlow have all raved to me about it. I can’t wait to get stuck in, and if time permits, I'll definitely be knocking out a few Rusty’s Garage podcast episodes trackside, too!"
