Your 2024 Haltech Clubsprint winner at the 2024 Yokohama World Time Attack Challenge is Trent Grubel in the DC Jap STi. Grubel broke his own lap record twice during the event, clocking in a blistering 1:32.234 on Saturday morning to lead Clubsprint into the Supercheap Auto Shootout.
This was amazing given the Subaru's 2.5-litre engine lost a piston on Friday afternoon and had to get a spare engine swapped in overnight. Grubel was able to see off competition from the Plazmaman Mitsubishi Evo being driven by Alex Michalsky by a scant three-tenths of a second.
In the Supercheap Auto Superlap Shootout, Plazmaman's Michalsky sent his Evo VI to the moon, running an on-the-limit 1:32.276 to cement second-place in Haltech Clubsprint.
Mike Garland in the GotItRex GC8 was third with a 1:33.917, but unfortunately collected the wall on Saturday afternoon and wasn't able to compete in the shootout, leaving Adam Casmiri, Ryan Marshall and Jimmy Asaad to round out the Top 5.
