The roar of engines and clouds of tyre smoke will return to Sydney Motorsport Park from September 5th to 6th, 2025, as the Yokohama World Time Attack Challenge (WTAC) makes its highly anticipated return. Among the headline acts this year is the thrilling Garrett International Drifting Cup, and drifting fans will be treated to arguably one of the world's leading drifters, the one and only Naoki Nakamura!

An icon of Japanese drifting, Nakamura is globally celebrated for his fearless, aggressive style and razor-sharp car control. Naoki is no stranger to WTAC, having previously wowed fans and claimed top honours in at the Garrett International Drifting Cup in 2019.

What makes 2025 even more special is the car he’s bringing with him—the same Nissan Silvia S13 that won him the 2024 D1GP Japan championship. This isn’t just any S13. It’s a 1000+HP monster powered by a ProCharged LS-based V8 with an RHS block, Monster heads, and Samsonas sequential gearbox. Built by FatFive Racing and tuned by REMS, it’s equipped with Wisefab suspension, DG-5 coilovers, and a Winters quick-change rear end. It’s a no-compromise machine, built to dominate, and it has.

Nakamura's resume speaks for itself: D1GP Champion in 2021 and 2024, with podium finishes in 2022 and 2023. Fans can expect a drifting masterclass as he pushes both car and skill to the edge in tandem battles against the best drivers from Australia and around the world. With the big V8 power on hsand, expect close proximity racing and big smoke trails whenever Naoki hits the track.
