Fat Cat came, saw and conquered in Plazmaman Pro-Am this year. Sami Sivonen's 1:24.832 in the R8 1:1 "Finnished" off the class at the 2024 Yokohama World Time Attack Challenge with 2023 champion, American Feras Qartoumy, chasing hard.
The Corvette had a shocker leading into WTAC as it got a midnight engine rebuild on Wednesday night at Warspeed Industries, but managed to bank a 1:26.893 on Saturday to sit within striking distance of Sami. Feras put in an absolute heater in the Supercheap Auto Superlap Shootout, running a 1:25.450 (a PB for him at WTAC) to stand on the class podium.
In the Supercheap Auto Superlap Shootout Rob Nguyen's Mighty Mouse CRX came out firing at its first World Time Attack Challenge in a few years. His 1:27.080 leap-frogged him up the order to third, having previously run a 1:29.795.
Aleck Kazakovski's GotItRex GC8 Subaru Impreza ran a 1:28.017, ahead of Drew Hall's Croydon R34 GT-R (1:28.741).
