Back-to-back champ Nguyen - taking the 2024 Open Class crown before claiming 2025 Pro Open honours - just sent shockwaves through the paddock. He stopped the clock at an eye-watering 1:22.0050, slicing nearly three-tenths off his own 2025 class record (1:22.286). With an angry, 900-plus horsepower billet SR20 screaming under the bonnet and Barry Lock aero glued to the tarmac, this rear-wheel-drive weapon is already knocking on the door of the 1:21 bracket.

Best of all? After famously blowing the tailshaft right at the stripe during last year's Superlap Shootout, the driveline held firm, banked purple sectors all round, and set a terrifying benchmark for the rest of the field. This is literally just the beginning.
