The action at the 2025 Yokohama World Time Attack Challenge is hotter than ever, with Todd Hazelwood bringing out the Tanuki S13 and pushing a 1:19.365 to solidify his grip on the Emtron Pro Class. He’d led the class and the outright results since early on Day One with a 1:21.093, but tension soon raised when electrical gremlins prevented the two-time WTAC winner from logging a lap in the afternoon.
The team worked overnight to get the Silvia working and Hazelwood rewarded that effort with an absolute heater early on Day Two. He pointed there was more time left in the VR38-powered monster, as the track conditions were greasy but, with a warm day forecast, hopes are high for prime conditions for the Supercheap Auto Superlap Shootout later in the day.

Another Pro Class competitor on a blinder was Alex Rullo in the twin-turbo Lamborghini, knocking his 1:24.137 lap time from Day One down to 1:23.479. Being a brand new build the Intellispatial Fleetcare Racing team are still creeping up on the combo, so there is definitely more time to unlock from the raging bull.
The brand new MoTeC Pro Open class at the 2025 Yokohama World Time Attack Challenge has lived up to its expectations for incredibly tight racing. Tim Slade in the Extreme GT-R had led Day One with a 1:23.375, and is quicker than the existing Plazmaman Pro Am class record set by the Tilton Evo way back in 2018.

Reigning GCG Open Class champion, Rob Nguyen, set an absolute heater early on Day Two. His 1:23.092 jumped him above Tim Slade who ran another 1:23 lap in the Extreme GT-R, and puts Pro Open cars into second and third Outright.
Nathan Morcom in the GAS Evo is close to the leaders, having banked a 1:25.191 on Day One. Cameron McLeod had a wild ride, spinning the MCA Toyota 86 as he turned into Turn 1, having run a 1:27.574 on Day One.
We have nearly 12-hours of action left to run at the 2025 Yokohama World Time Attack and tickets are available at the gate or online at https://tinyurl.com/2y3w8sae so get down to Sydney Motorsport Park to see the fastest time attack cars, the Garrett International Drifting Cup, drift demos, the Shannons Stylized Show ‘n’ Shine presented by Donut Garage, trade stands, and much, much more.
