WTAC 2024: 30TH - 31ST AUGUST

WHAT IS WTAC?

In the beginning...

Our History

Inspired by Japan’s time attack scene at Tsubuka Circuit, Ian Baker launched Superlap Australia in 2008 at the now defunct Oran Park Raceway.

What began as a pure time attack competition has since evolved into the World Time Attack Challenge - a multi-day automotive festival where you can find the world's fastest time attack cars, elite drivers, leading performance brands all in one high-energy weekend.

The event continues to showcase the best of international time attack teams competing on the same track at the same event. In this format, the teams represent not just the tuning shops behind the car but also their country. All for the glory of being crowned the World Time Attack Champion.

What is Time Attack?

Time attack racing is a motorsport format where drivers compete individually against the clock to set the fastest single lap time. Unlike traditional wheel-to-wheel racing, cars are released onto the track in intervals with the objective of achieving that #OnePerfectLap.

World Time Attack Challenge (WTAC) is structured to accommodate everything from grassroots competitors to seasoned professionals across classes.

The team with the fastest overall lap (over the 2 days) in his/her class claims the Class Trophy.  The team with the fastest Pro Class lap is declared the WTAC Winner.
