The Northern Hemisphere isn't playing games at the 2024 Yokohama World Time Attack Challenge. Sami Sivonen and the R8 1:1 team from Finland returned to WTAC after a five year absence, and out of the gate their 1:25.7 put them way out in the lead of the Plazmaman Pro-Am class.
Reigning Plazmaman Pro-Am champion, American Feras Qartoumy, sits second in class having had an engine rebuild done on his thundering twin-turbo Corvette on Wednesday night. The 1:27.7 is still a little off his pace from last year, so we're expecting to see a titanic battle between Texan Feras and Finnish Sami on Saturday.
Drew Hall in the Croydon Auto Sports R34 GT-R Skyline sits third in class, having run a 1:29.5, with plenty of pace left in the tank.
