World Time Attack Challenge 2025 just got a serious injection of rotary fury—Japan's Yuuki Kamakura and his wild Y’s Produce 4-rotor RX-7 are officially coming to Sydney to contest the GCG Open Class!

At just 31 years old, Yuuki’s time attack journey has already become the stuff of grassroots legend. A lifelong fan of the iconic Mazda RX-7 FD, he bought his first one at 18—only to be T-boned at a traffic light. Undeterred, he sourced another FD from a Yahoo Auction, but just one day after getting it on the road, the engine gave out. Most would’ve thrown in the towel. Not Yuuki.

By 19, he had a rebuilt 13B and hit Fuji Speedway for his first track day. Two years later, he set his sights higher: building a 4-rotor RX-7 with the help of rotary specialists Scoot. What started as the “ultimate date car” quickly evolved into a serious performance weapon—one that would tear up Tokyo’s highways before transforming into a full-blown time attack machine.

Yuuki’s mission since 2018 has been crystal clear: to build the fastest naturally aspirated time attack car in Japan. With no factory backing and a shoestring budget, he’s chased that dream with pure passion and relentless development—testing, racing, rebuilding, and even designing his own aero under the Y's Produce banner with some assistance by WTAC royalty, Under Suzuki.

From his first 59.8-second lap at Tsukuba to a blistering 56.8 in 2023, the numbers speak for themselves. But it’s not just about lap times—it’s about heart, hustle, and never backing down.

Under the hood of Yuuki’s RX-7 lies a Scoot-built naturally aspirated 4-rotor engine, screaming to over 10,000 RPM and delivering an unmistakable rotary soundtrack that echoes across any circuit it touches. Built with reliability and peak performance in mind, the engine is paired with a Holinger sequential gearbox for lightning-fast shifts. Every component has been refined with one goal: outright lap time domination.

Now, in 2025, Yuuki is stepping onto the global stage. With brand-new aero, fresh updates, and years of grind behind him, he’s ready to make his international debut at WTAC. This is no trailer queen—this is a car built in the garage, tested on the circuit, and driven by a man who lives and breathes every bolt. Expect fire-breathing NA sounds, homegrown aero, and a relentless drive to challenge the world’s best. Yuuki isn’t just showing up—he’s here to shake things up.
Sydney, brace yourself. The four-rotor storm is coming! Follow Yuuki's journey to WTAC through his website: https://www.ysproduce.com/en and social channels!
