The Yokohama World Time Attack Challenge isn’t just bringing the wildest cars to Sydney Motorsport Park - it’s also bringing one of the most influential figures in global car culture. For the first time ever, Liberty Walk founder Wataru Kato will be live on-site at WTAC, showcasing a jaw-dropping example of Liberty Walk's finest builds, and bringing his unmistakable style to Australia, this 5 & 6 September 2025.

At WTAC 2025, you will witness one of Liberty Walk’s most dramatic builds to date: a silhouette-style, 1200HP, four-rotor Nissan S15 Silvia. This JDM dream build is inspired by the raw, purpose-built Group 5 race cars of the 1980s. This one-of-a-kind creation will debut with a brand-new livery designed specifically for the event - and it’s not just for show.

Behind the wheel will be Tetsuya Hibino, a legend of the Japanese drift scene and a fan favourite worldwide. Prepare yourself for a live demonstration of style, sound, and spectacle that can only happen at WTAC.

If you’re not yet familiar with Liberty Walk, this is your chance to discover one of the most boundary-pushing names in the custom car world. Based in Nagoya, Japan, Liberty Walk has become world-renowned for transforming everything from Nissan GT-Rs to Lamborghinis into bold, wide-bodied machines that command attention wherever they go. Founded in 1993, Kato’s approach has always defied convention - cutting into supercars, embracing Japanese Bosozoku aesthetics, and creating cars that are as artistic as they are aggressive.

What started as a small workshop has grown into a global movement. With a following that spans continents and collaborations with everyone from Hot Wheels to high-end builders, Kato-san has redefined what custom styling means in the 21st century. His philosophy is simple: "Make Your Own Style" - and the cars speak for themselves.

LBWK's fearless style has even caught the attention of Formula 1 stars. McLaren Racing's Lando Norris to create a custom Liberty Walk LB-Kaido Works Nissan Skyline R32. Even Alpine's Jack Doohan has previously owned a LBWK-kitted R35 GT-R, another testament to Kato-san's all-encompasing influence on car culture.

Liberty Walk’s debut at WTAC is a celebration of creativity, performance, and global car culture - all on the same stage. Where you can find them at the event, performance times and more will be announced closer to the WTAC 2025 event.
