The Yokohama World Time Attack Challenge Sydney (WTAC) returns to Sydney Motorsport Park on 4-5 September 2026, delivering two days of world-class motorsport and a large-scale festival environment. With support from Yokohama Tyre Australia and the NSW Government through Destination NSW, WTAC continues to strengthen its position as one of the state’s most anticipated annual motorsport culture events.

WTAC pairs the intensity of the time attack world stage with an electrifying mix of demonstrations and off-track experiences, attracting motorsport fans, families, creators, and newcomers who want to immerse themselves in a high-energy environment driven by innovation and top-tier motorsport engineering and development.
WTAC Drives High-Intensity Motorsport Action
WTAC 2026 brings international teams to Sydney to battle for the fastest single lap around the 3.93km GP layout of Sydney Motorsport Park. The rapid-fire format keeps the track active throughout the day, creating dramatic record attempts, sudden breakthroughs, and moments that hold the entire venue’s attention.
“The racing is simply intense from the first session until the shootouts on Saturday night; you can feel the tension across the grandstands,” said Ian Baker, WTAC CEO. “The speed, the sound, and the cutting-edge engineering behind these cars create a level of excitement that stays with people long after they leave.”
WTAC Expands Its Festival Programming Across the Venue
The 2026 event builds on WTAC’s reputation as a full-scale automotive culture festival. The program features live demonstrations, exclusive meet-and-greet opportunities, an exciting revised format for the Garrett International Drifting Cup, the ever-popular Turbosmart Flying 500, the incredible StylizeD Show ’n’ Shine, interactive trader displays, food precincts, and much more. Families will find dedicated zones and accessible experiences throughout the venue.

“WTAC brings the best of both worlds,” said Alain Sihaphone, WTAC Event Director. “You get world-class motorsport on track and a festival atmosphere off it. People explore the paddock, meet teams and drivers, enjoy the entertainment zones, and experience a sense of scale you rarely find at motorsport events.”
NSW Government Champions WTAC’s Growth and Impact
The NSW Government continues to support WTAC as part of its strategy to deliver major events that strengthen the visitor economy and showcase the state to international audiences.
World Time Attack Challenge is proudly supported by the NSW Government through its tourism and events agency, Destination NSW.
